But the word Allah falls within the category of Allat, Al-Uzza and Manat since the forefathers of the Arabs were worshippers of these idols. In Leviticus 18 : 2, YHWH spoke to Moses: Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, I am YHWH your Elohim. The word YHWH means self existing and eternal. It is an irrefutable fact, that from the declaration of YHWH, I am YHWH your God, His Name is non replaceable by the word Allah. When it is translated to Arabic, it shall read as I am YHWH your ilah. Arab Christians always maintain that the word Allah is a translation from the compound word Al ilah later contracted to Allah. Hebrew word Elohim and Greek word Theos, are equivalent to ilah. Every Muslim should try to translate the words of YHWH: I am YHWH your God, and see for yourself if the word Allah can replace YHWH.
