"Showing how we as people conform to the norms of society."

"Resistance is only futile when you refuse to think or to take an unpopular stand. As humans we are social creatures who always wish to fit into a group. If we look at experiments done in the past we can see how weak we have become. The Solomon Asch experiment (1958) A study of conformity, was one of the best experiment to date showing how we as people wish to conform to the norms of society - even when it is wrong and irrational. The problem today is that as society we have outsourced our thinking to the television, we lack any real form of critical thinking skills. Conformity without thinking has become deadly and destructive." Quote from Stormfront article The Perfect Storm (We the Borg).

The 37% statistic is misrepresented. That figure, 37% is the overall percentage of the time that the participants went along with the group. (Total number of times people conformed divided by total number of opportunities to conform). It would be more correct to say that "on average" people conformed and went along with the group 37% of the time.

Only 5 percent of participants were always swayed by the crowd... in the video it says it was 37%...?!?
